If you want a unique toy group dog breed, then you can try owning and caring for a wonderful oriental type, which is the Shih Tzu or simply, Shitzu. This type of dog originates from China and is said to be the oldest living among the holy dogs of Tibet; you might say there is a somewhat a feel of mysticism that exudes from this unique dog breed.

Shitzu are recommended to be taken into your household while they are still cute puppies, albeit it is apparent that they require more attention and pet health care from their masters compared to other dog breed types.

Special Pet Grooming for Shitzu

This breed of dog likewise needs special pet grooming. For one, if you want your Shih Tzu to maintain long hair, you will have to brush it daily to keep it clean and really free from tangles.

Likewise, it is advisable for your dog to be given monthly hair cuts. One thing that I like about this dog is that it does not shed its furs. For those who are hypo-allergenic and love to take care of dogs will just have to get a Shih Tzu for their pet dogs.

Clean your Dog Immediately After Every Meal

Unlike other dog breeds, the Shitzu has a flat nose; this makes eating session a messy one for the dog. It can be disappointing to know how having its meal can actually make the dog really dirty and unappealing. You will have to help your dog become less looking mess-like by always having towels to be used in wiping its face.

Adorable Toy Dog Breeds

Most pet dogs belonging to the toy dog breeds are those that are considered as great companions for their masters. Most toy pet dogs are smaller than the working or hunting breed type of dogs. Toy breeds are so tiny and petite that they are considered to delicate to perform tasks for their masters.

Still, they are very much in demand because of their nice and cuddly appearance.
Despite being toy dogs, they are very active and mischievous at times. They love to play with their masters.

Toy dog breeds are very loyal and loving to their masters and are perfect companions for kids. They are wary about approaching strangers but sociable once they get to be familiar with people around them.

Kids by the way should be careful about strong and rough physical interaction with the toy dogs as they might get injured because of their small frame.

Didn’t you notice that toy dogs are loud barkers? It is in their nature to create too much noise. Some very noisy pet dogs that I know are the Chihuahua, Poodle and Pekingese. I have a cousin who have a pet dog toy Poodle who seem to own powerful doggy lungs and barks day in and day out. Aside from this rather annoying trait, his dog Poodle is otherwise a lovable pet.

It is very rewarding to own a toy pet dog. They are so lovable and fun to be with. And while they might be a little more spoiled compared to other breeds, toy pet dogs are actually worth all the affection and attention given them. Other types of toy breeds to choose from are Maltese, Terrier breeds and Pomeranian.
