Chinook: One Fine Dog Breed

The Chinook belong to the rare dog breeds that many pet owners would love to own and care for. It is a kind of sled dog that was reared in the New England state during the start of 1900’s. For many, the Chinook is seriously considered as belonging to the finest and best dog breeds that exist.

The name comes from a very popular sled dog. When the founder of Chinook breed died in 1963, the breed declined until it was discovered in the 1980’s by some dog lovers who decided to work on the restoration and flourishing of the Chinook.

Whether you have light or heavy load, the Chinook, being a big working breed, can pull anything for you with its big frame and muscled built. The dog owns a double coat, with the longer, much coarser hairs covering the undercoat.

The Chinook has a broad-type skull, chiseled cheeks, expressive eyes, and a furred tail that forms into a sickle when the dog is aroused or alerted. Generally, the Chinooks are one of those rare dog breeds that show both friendliness and aggressiveness. It likes people and can be calm and amiable when among them, but is fearless when the need arises. It is obviously intelligent and very regal in appearance.

The Great Dane: The Gentle Giant

The Great Dane is the type of domestic dog breed that is well-known for its gargantuan physique yet gentle character. Great Danes are affectionately known as the Apollo of all dog breeds and the Gentle Giant. The Great Dane are not only huge but they are also tall; in fact they are considered the tallest dogs around.

The large appearance of the Danes should not intimidate you; they are one of the gentlest pet dogs that you can have. They are also very sociable; they are not only friendly to their masters and other people, but to other pets and dog breeds as wells.

If you want a pet dog for yourself, then it’s better to have a Great Dane Puppy. And why not? The Great Dane puppies are such great bundles of joy that you can have around. This cute puppies are simply adorable and lovable, and really fun to have around. They are also safe to have, even with small kids.

When you have your first cute puppies, it’s okay to just let them have their time to go around the house and check every part and corner of their new environment. After some time, it’s back to reality. While your Dane still look every inch like a cute putty, the time has come for you to housebreak and train it.

When giving your pet some dog training, you must be enthusiastic very minute of the way. The dog will always be on its “paws,” ready to respond to what you want it to learn. It is up to you to show enthusiasm and willingness to train your pet. So long as you do a great job as a trainer, you will earn positive results as far as your dog’s training is concerned.

Not every time will you be experiencing fine and productive moments when training your Great Dane puppies. Surely you are bound to have some disappointing sessions. It’s just perfectly normal. Do not forget that your pet dogs are still very young. They’re at the stage when they are nothing else yet but cute puppies, and unafraid to commit mistakes despite your big effort to train them right. Just be patient. In due time, you will see significant changes in your pet’s behavior.

Give your Dane puppy some reward. For every right move and desired responses to your training, it’s best to reward it. Rewarding somehow is a signal for the dog that it is doing great in your training. And do not just give reward, but tell it some oral praise, love and affection.
