If you want a massive sized pet dog, then you might like to consider getting for yourself a mastiff. They may be gargantuan and therefore look intimidating, but the fact is that the mastiff are wonderful as pet dogs – very lovable and loyal to their masters.

Two of the more popular types of Mastiff dogs are the English and American Mastiff. The former is the biggest of them all, weighing somewhere between 150 and 200 pounds.
Historically, the mastiffs of England are known to have been utilized as guard dogs. The English mastiff dog breed is known to be very loyal to his master and family, and is willing to do anything to guard and protect them.
The second type of Mastiff is the American dog breed, which is popular for being very good guard and watch dog. And like the English dog counterpart, the American mastiff is very intelligent and easily trained.
