Mixed Dogs are Great Pets
February 12, 2008 |
Does it make a difference if your pet dog is a pure breed dog or a mixed breed? In my case, dogs are dogs, whatever the type and kind it is. And why to other people question the intention of other pet owners to breed their mixed dogs? Let the dogs breed and have puppies, so long as they are responsible in caring for the young.
Mixed dogs are thought to be a misbehaving dog, unhealthy and ridden with worms. This is the kind of image mixed dogs have for themselves. I beg to disagree strongly. I have always had mixed dogs and all of them were well-behaved and obedient dogs. They are easy to be trained, and are quick to learn any trick and skill as well.
When it comes to pet dog health, I only brought them a few times to the veterinarian, mostly for checkup purposes. It was only once when I needed pet medication administered to my dog and this is because it was able to take in some laundry soap powder.
You don’t need to own purebred dogs – for me, mixed bred ones will do. I don’t need to spend too much money for the maintenance of pure breeds. Mixed dogs are strong and sturdy, healthy and intelligent too. They can provide any pet owner with the same quality of companionship as that of purebreds.
