Feeding Our Pet Dogs
August 29, 2007 |
Dogs need a wide variety of nutrients and vitamins for them to grow to the optimum level and keep them really healthy and strong. And they can get this from the select food that we give them daily.
Therefore, whether you serve your pet dog a popular brand dog food or your own personal preparation of its food, what’s important is that it receives all the necessary nutrients that they need.

Meat are dog’s staple food so you should make sure that they are provided with their daily meat requirements. We all know that meat serves as their major source of protein so it is a must in their daily diet.
Liver can also be given but not excessively, otherwise your pet dog will suffer from diarrhea or an overdose of Vitamin D.
When it comes to fat, give just it the right amount. Too much fat on your dog’s diet will likewise cause it to suffer from diarrhea.
Provide your dog with water at the same time that you give him his dog food. Dogs thirst quite easily and so it is best that water supply for them to drink is readily available, especially during meal time.
Finally, let’s talk about the food dish for your dog. The best container to be used are metal dishes because they are easy to clean and do not retain foul smell. Never buy the cheaper, plastic made dishes as they tend to cultivate bacteria and molds over time.
